Do I have to use the restoration company my insurance company recommends I use?
No, you have the right to choose the company you are comfortable with to work in your home.

Do I have to file an insurance claim before I call a restoration company to start the work?
No, calling a restoration company immediately after a loss is the first step in minimizing damages.

How do I know if a loss is covered by my insurance company?
The best way is to refer to your insurance policy, or call your agent for that information. Many times coverage ultimately comes down to the adjustor evaluating the loss circumstances.

What if I have a restoration company repairing my home and then I find out it’s not covered by my insurance company?
If you have a loss in your home and your insurance company informs you it is not covered by insurance, you are responsible for paying the restoration company in full for the work.

What is a deducible?
A deductible is an amount you agreed with your insurance company to pay the restoration company before the insurance company’s claims payment kicks in. Refer to your insurance policy for that amount.

How much are estimates?
We provide free estimates.

What method do you use to clean carpets?
First, we spray a pre-conditioning solution that will break down and begin emulsifying the soil then we clean the carpets by hot water extraction.

How will you handle my water loss?
We first dispatch technicians to respond to the water loss to evaluate and asses the damage then make recommendation for a drying plan, extract any standing water, and take care of wet materials and contents. We then produce an estimate of reconstruction costs and process an emergency services “mitigation” billing. Next we work with your insurance adjuster to obtain an agreed upon price.

Do you restore furniture?
We do not restore furniture. However, we can facilitate and see to it that any furniture that needs restored is taken care of.

Do you clean leather?
Yes, we have a technician that has completed training for Leather Cleaning and Care.

Do you test for mold?
Valley Maintenance & Restoration, Inc. does not test for mold. After testing has been completed by a Indoor Air Quality professional and the protocol has been written, we can begin remediation of the mold.

How do you check for mold?
We can do visual inspections of the area. We can then make suggestions from our observations. Actual testing is left to a Indoor Air Quality professional.

Can mold cause health problems?
